When it comes to skincare tips, there are few women who know more about the subject than the world’s best facialists. It’s their job to ensure that their clients’ skin looks truly incredible whether they’re on the red carpet or in-between appointments.

So naturally, they’ve become used to dishing on next-level skincare advice to implement at home in order to keep up their good work. We rounded up five of the biggest names you’ll find in the A-lister’s Little Black Beauty Book and asked them to spill their top skincare tips that we can incorporate into our routine from home.

“My top skincare tip for your home routine is to stay out of the sun and always wear sunscreen, every single day, regardless of the weather. It’s the best way to not only protect your skin from premature ageing but to also keep it healthy and prevent skin cancer. All of the most common complaints I hear are from sun damage – wrinkles, loss of elasticity, sagging skin, pigmentation – they’re all caused by UV exposure,” says Shani.

“Find a sunscreen you love that works well for your skin type and wear it every single day. I love Supergoop’s Play Everyday Lotion with an SPF of 50. It’s lightly hydrating and doubles as my daily moisturizer, which is a plus!”

“My second beauty tip is to add a retinol into your routine if you’re not already using one. I trained under a leading dermatologist and saw all of the amazing transformative effects of retinol which is what led me to develop Retinol Reform. It can make such a big difference by boosting skin’s elasticity, minimizing fine lines and wrinkles, and evening the tone,” Shani explains.

“I’ve even seen retinol help with acne scarring and blemishes. It’s not only for anti-aging, it’s an amazing multi-tasker which helps to keep skin glowing, smooth, and clear overall and it’s an essential treatment all of my client’s swear by.”

Sarah Chapman

Celebrity clients: Meghan Markle, Gigi Hadid, Victoria Beckham, Jourdan Dunn

We love that Sarah came through with easy peasy skincare hacks that maximize your skincare products without needing to clear an evening for in-depth skin prep. “Leave your cleanser on in the shower for a steam infusion and ultra clean pores,” she advises, then rinse it away right at the end.

And to give you glowy skin for no time at all in the morning, Sarah says: “Apply a cleanser or mask before brushing your teeth and use your electric toothbrush timer to countdown minutes for a mini morning facial.” Sarah’s own Skinesis 3D Moisture Infusion mask is magic – just sayin.

Mimi Luzon

Celebrity clients: Naomi Campbell, Bella Hadid, Irina Shayk, Kaia Gerber

“Incorporating a facial peel into your home skincare routine is a great way to give your skin an amazing glow from within, treat fine lines and reduce scarring,” says Mimi. It may sound scary, but it’s essentially just souped up exfoliation, and there’s home renditions that have been specifically formulated to make them safe to use yourself.

“An at-home peel uses a chemical agent to deeply exfoliate and rejuvenate. It polishes the skin by buffing away dead cells and stimulating renewal,” Mimi explains. “Our new 24K Pure Gold Exfoliator uses TECA extract to repair and stimulate collagen synthesis, along with Pure Gold which is known to renew cells within the basal layer, leaving you with plump, smooth, glowing skin,” she adds.

Ada Ooi

“One of the best skincare hacks that you can do easily from home is to use facial massaging technique to stimulate acupressure points for tension release and drain the lymphatic system to give a firmer, brighter complexion,” says Ada. “Start with your favourite serum to nourish and give slip, then using a Gua Sha tool gently massage the face, following the lymphatic system to reduce swelling and tighten your skin to give a more youthful appearance,” she adds. Ada offers her own pro Gua Shas, like microSculptor No.3, from her brand 001 Skincare.

“A great quick jaw-sculpting technique is to anchor the tool in the middle of your chin, gently glide upwards to the front of the ear (where there are acupressure points related to calming the spirit) press and wiggle, go to the back of the ear and glide downwards to the neck, ending at the collar bone. Press and wiggle again there, and repeat three times to stimulate the area and boost circulation, while it drains stagnated elements. Don’t forget to take deep breaths all along to put your mind at rest and to untangle facial expression stress,” recommends Ada.

Joanna Czech

Celebrity clients: Kim Kardashian, Hailey Bieber, Joan Smalls, Lily Aldridge

We all know we shouldn’t sleep in our makeup, but there’s a big reason that we should load up on our favourite skin products before bed. “Don’t skip your night time routine,” says Joanna. “Products are up to 60% more effective when our bodies are at rest, so take the time to cleanse your face and body thoroughly and apply your products before bed.” We’ve rounded-up some of the best ingredients to slather on in the evening.
