Proving she can rock just about any hairstyle, Selena Gomez‘s latest TikTok shows the singer and actor in a sleek new bob cut. The 29-year-old took to the video-sharing app to promote her Hulu show Only Murders in The Building.
While the new look is a departure from her long loose waves, it is not only fall-appropriate but also harkens back to her look in 2019. It also reminded fans of Alex Russo, as they left comments under the video comparing the new hairdo to her character in the Disney show Wizards of Waverly Place.

The look comes off as a surprise to her fans especially after Gomez went months without trims above the collarbone. However, the star also has a record of switching up her hairstyles. She previously sported platinum blonde locks, a bob cut with flipped ends, a wet waves chop, and combined both in a platinum bob.
Many other celebrities are embracing taking inches off their hair in varying degrees. Kourtney Kardashian recently showed off her wavy black long-bob in a mirror selfie, receiving comments swooning over how she’s now matching “Travis’s fly,” referring to her Blink-182 drummer fiance, Travis Barker.

After dying her hair to blonde from her signature black hair with lime roots, Billie Eilish also cut off her lengths to a shaggy bob. The new hairstyle featured a retro 70s style fringe with a feminine edge and is inspired by a similar cut previously sported by her screenwriter mother Maggie Baird. WandaVision actor Elizabeth Olsen also shortened her shoulder-length hair right before she walked the 2021 Emmy’s red carpet in September. Her grown-out curtain bangs were shaped to blend with the rest of her hair in a wavy bob cut.
