When Saudi Arabia’s Sara Al Rashed launched Asteri during Covid, no one could have predicted how quickly the homegrown beauty brand would become a hit in the region.
Now, just about four years old, Asteri is all set to delight makeup lovers again with a brand new launch — the Legacy Liquid Lipstick, available now in all Asteri boutiques and online. Crafted keeping in mind the specific needs of Arab women, the new drop promises a bold look with maximum comfort. “Saudi women tend to prefer long-wear lipsticks with strong color payoff. However, long wear matte lipsticks tend to dry the skin, and women have to compromise between high performance color and lip care,” Al Rashed tells Vogue Arabia. “I created Legacy Liquid Lipsticks to take this compromise away. Our [new launch] offers vibrant color with full coverage and has a non-drying formula infused with good skin ingredients to protect and moisturize lips while lasting up to 16 hours.”

Given that Asteri was conceptualized for — and by — women of the Middle East, the Legacy Liquid Lipstick comes in five versatile shades, all chosen to complement local skin tones. Each hue also has a specially chosen name as a nod to the brand’s core belief of promoting a feeling of sisterhood among its ever-growing family of loyalists. While Nouf is a flattering nude-pink hybrid, Basma is a classic nude hue, Seeta comes in a more romantic pink shade, Haifa is a flattering brown, and finally, Anoud glides on as a rich red shade.

Infused with moringa oil and pomegranate extract, the lipsticks include an antioxidant feature that nourishes and protect lips through the day — so you needn’t worry about dryness and discomfort.
