While face and body scrubs are a standard step in beauty routines, the scalp is often neglected when it comes to deep-cleansing. Natalie Kasses, Creative Director at Dubai’s Pastels Salon and an international trainer for L’Oreal, says that a targeted scalp exfoliating treatment is an essential addition for revealing healthy hair. She points out that a dedicated ritual, such as Pastels’ Hair Detox treatment is particularly great for Ramadan, as it removes the dry skin build-up caused by dehydration. “The treatment is a thorough scalp exfoliant. It completely detoxes the scalp, and removes the dry skin and any residue that has built up to leave your scalp refreshed,” explains Kasses.

Choose between two different Kerastase Fusio Scrubs, depending on hair type. The Kerastase Scrub Apaisant is a hydrating gel rub to calm all hair types. The Kerastase Scrub Energisant is a sea salt scrub that deep cleanses oily hair and scalps. The ritual treatment includes treatment oil drops to nourish hair follicles, worked in with a relaxing head massage to boost scalp microcirculation. Add an optional Kerastase hair masque or Kerastase Fusio Dose treatment for suhoor-ready locks. “The essential oils that accompany the in-salon treatment add much needed nourishment to the scalp, ensuring it is as healthy as possible,” says Kasses.
