In traditional Arabic perfumery, musk has long been regarded as a particularly precious ingredient. In fact, the use of the animalistic note dates back to the 6th century, when musk was ground into mortared walls of mosques so that when the sun warmed the brick of the building, the intoxicating fragrance was released. Today, the earthy, sensual base note can be found in some of the world’s most globally feted perfumes – and Rasasi’s newest releases. The family-owned, Middle Eastern perfume house recently developed three unique unisex scents inspired by the charismatic properties of musk. Entitled Naqaya, Hareer, and Sharqi, each invigorating fragrance comes in a striking glass bottle made to be displayed with pride. Read on to discover which of the trio of new scents will best suit your mood.

An intense olfactory tribute to the pride and patriotism of Arabs, with a citrus punch and mystical rose essence at its heart. It’s interwoven with opulent woods, vanilla, and white musks, with a hint of sandalwood and Indian oud adding to the warm sensuality and lingering luxury of this intoxicating Oriental journey.

The bright light of hesperidic notes, a cocktail of white musks, and a woody signature give this fragrance its dreamy air, which can be worn like a second skin. Inspired by the purity and innocence of a white veil, Musk-Naqaya is a multifaceted and spiritual journey.

HAREER

Soft as silk, this scent opens with the fresh, aromatic notes of artemisia and davana, before intricate layers of rose cloak you – from royal rose at its heart to Turkish rose essence and Egyptian rose absolute. Raspberry zest, woody sandalwood and palisander, and sultry amber round off this white musk scent.
