When the worlds of fashion and beauty collide, magic tends to happen. Recent fashion designers to try their hand at cosmetics include Karl Lagerfeld, who joined forces with ModelCo on an adorable, Choupette-inspired range of makeup, while Reem Acra teamed up with Essie to create a collection of bridal nail polishes that were just as mesmerizing as her wedding gowns. Victoria Beckham‘s first foray into makeup with Estée Lauder was an instant sell-out. Indeed, one of the appeals of a major fashion designer collaborating with a beauty brand is that it makes their products more attainable without the hefty price tag. For instance, not everyone can shell out AED 10,000 for an Erdem dress, but many can afford an AED 140 Erdem x Nars Lip Powder Palette.

Now, the latest designer to flex his beauty muscle is Rami Kadi, who recently collaborated with Max Factor on a line-up of limited-edition FaceInfinity Compact Powders. The collaboration came about when the cosmetics giant approached the Lebanese couturier, to which he immediately obliged. “We were happy to take our first baby steps into the beauty world through the eyes of a renowned makeup line like Max Factor,” a spokesperson for the womenswear maison told Vogue.me. “Since Hollywood’s Golden Age, Max Factor has dreamed up timeless looks for icons such as Marilyn Monroe and Ava Gardner.”

The designs of the three compacts were directly inspired by Middle Eastern It girls, and Kadi’s muses, Lana El Sahely, Deema Al Asadi, and Mariam Mohammad. “These girls all have different styles and characters, and the compacts reflect their individuality,” said the spokesperson for the brand. Each formula comes in sleek, gold packaging imprinted with a portrait of the girls. Additionally, the new collection comes with a series of campaign images starring the three influencers, sporting breathtaking Rami Kadi gowns that reflect the graphic motifs displayed on the compacts.

The Rami Kadi x Max Factor Limited Edition FaceFinity compacts can be purchased exclusively at Lifestyle boutiques across the GCC until November 15. Time to start clearing out our cosmetics bags…
