The internet has seen many a ‘before-and-after’ picture of Bella Hadid, comparing her face from her early teenage years to her twenty-something self. As she stars on the latest issue of Vogue, the model set the record straight on the cosmetic procedures she has had done, while also revealing a decision she wishes she could take back. “I wish I had kept the nose of my ancestors,” shared the part-Palestinian runway fixture, who underwent a nose job at the age of 14. “I think I would have grown into it.”
The confession may not come as a shock to those who keep up with Hadid, who proudly champions her heritage on social media. The model’s posts have ranged from paying tribute to her father and grandmother by cooking Palestinian food, to pictures of herself at a pro-Palestine rally, and speaking out when Instagram took down a photo of her “baba’s” American passport that stated his birthplace is Palestine.

The interview also saw Hadid address the rumors that she has got multiple other plastic surgeries done over the years, which include an eye lift, jawline shave, and lip fillers. “People think I fully [messed] with my face because of one picture of me as a teenager looking puffy,” she said. “I’m pretty sure you don’t look the same now as you did at 13, right?” Hadid added that she has never used fillers either, not because she is against them, but because they’re simply not for her. “Whoever thinks I’ve gotten my eyes lifted or whatever it’s called—it’s face tape! The oldest trick in the book,” she added, going on to open up about the effect the accusations have had on her mental health. “I’ve had this impostor syndrome where people made me feel like I didn’t deserve any of this,” she said. “People always have something to say, but what I have to say is, I’ve always been misunderstood in my industry and by the people around me.”
