The Nike+ Training Club app has just launched a new yoga workout section, so you can now strike that sun salutation or pull a downward dog wherever you may find yourself. Those who have already downloaded the free app, which has been hailed by athletes and sports enthusiasts alike, can now simply search for “yoga” to find the new selection of routines. “These new workouts are really powerful because they offer the chance to practice no matter what your goal is or where you are on your yoga journey,” explained Nike master trainer and yogi Leah Kim in a recent statement from the brand. “With the varying workout focus areas, lengths, and poses, there is something for everyone – from the beginner yogi looking to improve their practice to those who are more advanced.”
From 15 to 45 minutes, the routines are set to offer both seasoned yogis and beginners the opportunity to incorporate the exercise into their lifestyles. “This isn’t about just doing yoga on what would otherwise be an off-day, but actually making yoga a regular part of your routine,” explains Traci Copeland, another yogi and Nike master trainer. As with the other Nike+ Training Club app programs, the yoga section offers workouts from endurance to strength and mobility. With both Kim and Copeland assisting in the development of the routines, the workouts take the amount of time you have and the workout you are after into consideration. With four workouts currently available, get set for another 10 to drop between July and September.
