Natalie Portman Asks “What Would You Do For Love?” in New Miss Dior Campaign

A-list Hollywood star Natalie Portman returns to Dior to pose the question ‘what would you do for love?’

The video marks the launch of the maison’s latest fragrance, Miss Dior Eau de Parfum, created by François Demachy, and carries on from Portman’s first advert for the  fragrance in 2015, which saw her play a runaway bride. Set to SIA’s Chandelier, Portman can be seen jumping off a pier, running until she’s out of breath, and speeding in a pink convertible – all in a bold declaration of love. The short film is directed by Emmanuel Cossu who has worked with the likes of Drake and Dior brand ambassador A$AP Rocky, although this is his first collaboration with the House of Dior.

The commercial also coincides with Dior’s first-ever charity campaign Dior Love Chain. As part of the campaign, Dior aficionados are asked to record a video of themselves revealing what they would do for love and post it on social media with the hashtag #DiorLoveChain. For every post, the French maison has pledged to donate AED3.6 to the WE charity to support initiatives in Kenya that provide education for young girls. Celebrities who have participated in the campaign include Vogue Arabia’s September cover girl Bella Hadid, as well as Jennifer Lawrence, Robert Pattinson, and Winnie Harlow.

With Women@Dior, its female empowerment initiative, rolled out across the globe and new-era feminism present in its latest collections helmed by Maria Grazia Chiuri, its first female creative director, Dior has more than just chic outfits in its sights.

The Miss Dior Eau de Parfum retails at AED590 for 100ml and AED730 for 150ml at Harvey Nichols – Dubai, Bloomingdale’s, and Sephora.
