Fall may be in the air, but Naomi Campbell looks like she just stepped off the most glamorous beach of all time. The supermodel attended a Bvlgari event during New York Fashion Week in a hairstyle we don’t see on her very often: a wavy bob.
Campbell typically wears her hair long and sleek, but she changed it up for the NYFW event in a chin-length bob. Her hair was parted dramatically to one side for a tousled look and styled in beachy waves, with a portion almost completely covering her eye as she posed on the red carpet. She wore one side tucked behind her ear for a casually cool vibe, which was a fun contrast against her smoky eye and layered gold necklaces. (It was a Bvlgari event, after all.)
The bob wasn’t just eye-catching; it was also a bit of an optical illusion based on how Campbell was photographed, as the feathered shoulder detail on her sheer black dress blended into her hair depending on the angle. However, this is firmly a bob, with the ends of her hair just brushing her jawline.

And while you may think that fall is a time to let your hair grow long, some of our favorite celebs have flipped the script and gone short instead. (More space for scarves and turtlenecks, maybe?) Case in point: two more fashion icons. Victoria Beckham, ditched her signature long length in favor of a shoulder-grazing “midi bob,” AKA a lob, and Taraji P. Henson debuted a chic pixie. Style-wise, Sabrina Carpenter also went for a beachy vibe on a recent red carpet, showing off her waves instead of her go-to fluffy blowout. Honestly, all of these short styles have me questioning my plans to grow my hair out for the winter.
