When it comes to wedding day beauty the common go-to for brides? Looking the best version of themselves. Meghan Markle did just this. Opting for a classic feel she showcased a natural look, that highlighted her freckles. Leading up to her nuptials, there were reports that she would be doing her own makeup, with the help of her friends. Perhaps, following in the footsteps of Kate Middleton, who in 2011 after learning tips from celebrity makeup artist Arabella Preston went it alone. However, the Royal Family’s website quashed these rumors by announcing Markle called upon the skills of Daniel Martin.

Known for his work with everyone from Jessica Alba to wedding guest Priyanka Chopra, this isn’t the first time Martin has worked with Markle. The Dior brand ambassador and Honest Beauty Creative Color Consultant, met the former actress back in 2011 in NYC and have been close ever since. Keeping her skin natural and glowing he looked created a subtle smoky eye with fluttering lashes. A sweeping of blush and pink satin lip completed her makeup look.

For hair, Serge Normant, who has previously worked with the likes of Julia Roberts and Sarah Jessica Parker, created a timeless updo topped with a dazzling tiara. More stylized than what we have seen Markle work in the past, her locks were curled and secured into a low silhouette. Wearing a middle parting, face-framing layers at first were tucked behind her ears before coming loose as the ceremony unfolded.  Of course, no bridal look would be complete without a flawless manicure, with Markle opting for short nude nails.
