Isabel Marant is Collaborating on a Makeup Collection

Those in pursuit of perfect French-girl chic, rejoice. L’Oréal Paris has collaborated with Isabel Marant on a makeup collection comprising five key products, set to launch on the day of the designer’s Paris Fashion Week show in September.

“I’ve always interpreted fashion’s ready-to-wear literally, and I couldn’t be more thrilled at this chance to do that in make-up with an on-the-go collection with L’Oréal Paris,” Marant said in a statement. “It has been a dream to get right inside makeup innovation and to offer this collection of day-into-night, natural-to-smoking makeup essentials I have always wanted.”

L’Oréal Paris collaborated with Olivier Rousteing on a Balmain lipstick collection last year, but Marant’s offering will also include products for cheeks and eyes. Catwalk makeup at the designer’s Paris Fashion Week shows is typically low-key, with perfected skin and softly defined features.

“This is a collaboration that’s really of the moment: synonymous with Parisian elegance, Isabel Marant is one of the great self-made designers today. Absolutely true to herself and her independence, she’s the perfect partner for the brand, in our drive to make every woman around the world feel worth it,” said Pierre-Emmanuel Angeloglou, L’Oréal Paris global brand president. We’re holding out hope for the perfect smoky eyeliner and the ultimate Parisian red lip.
