For the first time Chanel’s Global Creative Makeup and Color Designer Lucia Pica took the reins of creating the beauty look for the Chanel Cruise show. Working with graphic eyes and luminous skin, she drew her inspiration from some of the prints within the collection’s dresses. Not to mention the giant cruise ship, and tweed berets which offered up plenty of nautical vibes.
Keeping things futuristic, and working to Karl Lagerfeld’s brief she created a matte blue eye. Using the Stylo Ombre Et Contour eyeshadow pen, Pica outlined the silhouette of an oversized cat eye before filling in the shape. From there she used the Les 4 Ombres Eyeshadow palette in Quiet Revolution to build up the color, with Chanel’s flat eyeshadow brush. Finishing the eye, she used a coating of Le Volume De Chanel Mascara in Noir.
“Eyebrows were brushed up and not too defined in a boyish way. Lips were nude and a slight peachy color was applied on the cheeks, quite high on the apples of the cheekbones to make the girls look fresher,” Pica explains about the finished look.
