You may not be familiar with the name Lejla Cas, but you will be familiar with her line of game-changing sheet masks, Knesko. Known for its hydrating natural collagen sheets that transform your face to your décolleté, the gel masks in shades of jewel tones have finally reached the Middle East.
After moving to Australia in 1996 due to the turmoil happening in her home country of Bosnia, Cas entered the world of skincare. Introduced to reiki in 2002, the relaxing techinique launched her journey into discovering crystals and their metaphysical healing powers. “I dreamed of creating a company based on the principles of my greatest loves: energy work, skincare, and crystals. I started to see that my career path could take on an even deeper meaning and purpose if I could share those benefits with others, and inspire them to new heights,” she explains. After moving to the USA in 2007, she continued to work in the industry before launching Knesko.

“An amazing team of dermatologists, skin care professionals, and myself – a celebrity esthetician and reiki master – came together, and we created our trade secret proprietary Gemclinical™ technology,” says Cas. The Nanogold Repair Gold Face Mask and Diamond Radiance Diamond Face Masks turned into an instant success. At a time when sheet masks were becoming mainstream due to their ease and ability to be worn whilst carrying on with your daily routine, Knesko moved in the opposite direction. “I wanted to create a mask that is much more luxurious (heavy, full of serum) and would strengthen my message of really slowing down, celebrating time out, while allowing the clinical actives to work your skin, and gemstones and reiki to work on your spirit,” she explains.

Attention to detail was, and still is, key to Knesko. “I charge all Knesko products with loving healing reiki energy. Each time a new batch comes into our warehouse from our lab, I shut down the warehouse for two days to do energy work and to meditate on the intention.” This, combined with ancient and modern technologies, has continued to garner fans from beauty aficionados to celebrities like the Kardashians and Jessica Alba. Next for the brand is a Rose Quartz Antioxidant Collection and Black Pearl Detox Collection in face and eye masks, alongside gemstone rollers to pair with each of the eye masks.
