It appears that Kylie Jenner has some serious competition. Big sister Kim Kardashian West has just unveiled plans to build her very own eponymous beauty empire, and will be launching a line of cosmetics, KKW Beauty, later this month. Hot on the heels of the Keeping Up With the Kardashians season 13 finale, the 36-year-old social media sensation took to Instagram to break the news, tagging only the newly-minted brand’s official account, which has already gained 51,000 followers in the 12 hours it’s been live.
This won’t be the first foray into the beauty realm for Kardashian West. Apart from catapulting the contouring (or should we say, kontouring) craze, the mother of two has dabbled with cosmetics in the past, launching Kardashian Beauty with her sisters Kourtney and Khloe in 2012. She’s also recently collaborated on a makeup range with her younger sister Kylie – a lip kit collection comprising four signature nude colors – which sold out within minutes.
