Providing further confirmation that the trope ‘blondes have more fun,’ is still very much up for debate, Khloe Kardashian debuted a sultry new-do on her 36th birthday, marking her official transition from blonde to brunette. Having rocked the blonde look for over three years; either in the form of short bobs or long, luscious locks, the reality star took to Instagram with a note referencing her decision saying “blonde still owns my heart but this brown is giving me a little something right now.”
While sisters Kim and Kylie are better acquainted with the hair color-changing game; often switching from their natural browns to exciting pursuits of silver, green, and blue – to name a few, Kardashian has remained somewhat consistent in her affinity for being a blonde. In response to the change, a number of the reality star’s friends and fans commented on her post saying how much they loved the new do. Among them was Khadijah Haqq, one of Kardashian’s best friends, who wrote, “I love love love you brown.” Followed by comments by former-Cheetah Girl and present talkshow host, Adrienne Bailon who said, “Stunning amiga 💗✨ Praying your day was filled with so much love & laughter!” Dancer and actress Melissa Molinaro also lauded Khloe’s new look writing,”Omg this hair color on you everything!! Stunning! Happy Birthday,” but it was perhaps a message from ex-partner Tristan Thompson that ultimately sealed the deal. Using a combination of fire and heart emojis, the NBA player’s stance on Kardashian’s new look was clearly one of approval.

Hosted at Kylie Jenner’s house, Kardashian’s 36th birthday party was an ode to all things girly, glamorous, and fun. Wearing a bedazzled mini-dress by by Kuwaiti designer, Yousef Al Jasmi, the birthday girl celebrated her day in style. Featuring inflatable slides, birthday balloons and not one, but two personalized cakes, the party was a family affair; comprising members of the Jenner-Kardashian clan, close friends, and family. Taking to Twitter, the reality star expressed her joy over the intimate celebrations noting that she had “the most magnificent birthday!!!” While it was only close family and friends on account of social distancing measures, Khloe continued with a sweet message to her fans, saying “I wanted to thank you ALL for sending me so many beautiful and kind wishes. I love you very much.”
