Julia Roberts seems to have life pretty well figured out. So when the Pretty Woman star deigns to share her wisdom, we open a notebook and grab a pen.
During a recent interview, the actor shared some solid advice with the world: “Stand up straighter, it’s all going to be okay, and don’t pluck your eyebrows.” These are the wise words Roberts shared with People during a recent interview, specifically as the advice she’d give to her 19-year-old self, the age her twins Phinneas and Hazel currently are.
But just like Roberts, these three directives are timeless. Especially the posture part. As for the actual recipients of her motherly advice, her children (she also has a 16-year-old son, Henry), Roberts is grateful that they let her keep mom-ing, even into their own young adulthood.
“I have an immense amount of appreciation for both of my older kids because they still allow me to be the same mom to them and it’s not eye-rolling. There’s a huge amount of understanding,” she revealed in a different interview, per People. “I parent them the same way out of the house that I parent them in the house. Which is, ‘Are you getting enough sleep? You sound like you’re sick. Are you drinking tea?’ And, ‘Text me when you get home so I can see that you’re safe and sound.’”
