Now that Pumpkin Spice Lattes are back on the menu at Starbucks, you’re going to see a lot of celebrities muting their summer blondes and embracing more autumnal tones—I’m looking at Hailey Bieber’s cinnamon cookie butter mid-lights—but Jennifer Lopez is here to remind you that summer is not over yet!
In a new Instagram post promoting the fashion brand A.L.C., Lopez just so happened to reveal some bright chunky highlights, complete with a honey-blonde money piece that matches the rest of her new face-framing blonde accents. The warm, golden tones were made extremely apparent in the car selfie’s summer sun, but you can see the full effect of the fresh dye job on her ’70s-inspired waves in the post’s second slide.

Though Jennifer Lopez is no stranger to chunky highlights—she even helped revive the dramatic Y2K hair trend back in 2020—the singer has been rocking a more natural balayage throughout the past few months. Back in June, Lopez debuted fresh blunt bangs, mixing in thinner, caramel blonde highlights into her brunette layers and fringe. Now that those bangs have reached the ideal curtain length, however, it seems Lopez was ready for a bolder color story.
