Huda Kattan is Adding Executive Producer to Her CV

Huda Kattan is headed to the small screen – well, the modern-day version. The Dubai-based beauty entrepreneur has teamed up with Facebook Watch to launch Huda Boss, an online reality show that will give viewers an exclusive look into the world of Huda Beauty. What’s more, Kattan will be executive producing the entire show alongside her younger sister Mona. “We have been approached by a few different networks over the last five or six years to do a reality series, but we decided to partner with Facebook Watch earlier this year, and started filming in March,” Kattan revealed to “Huda Boss has been a super collaborative project; we’ve been really involved at every level — both Mona and I are executive producers on the show — and we are so excited to introduce a show that’s so socially integrated.”

The series will shine a light on the “crazy family dynamic” behind the business, and highlight the energy out in to making Huda Beauty the success that it is.  “Huda Boss really shows how chaotic it can be – between back-to-back meetings, travelling to our manufacturer’s offices, doing campaign photoshoots, developing and launching new products, hosting press events – there really is so much time and dedication that goes into every part of the business. We are super hands on, which I think will surprise a lot of people,” Kattan added.

The Iraqi-American beauty mogul took to her Instagram to announce the news to her 25.4 million and counting followers last week. “We will be giving viewers a behind-the-scenes preview into the reality of running a business with your family — the good times, the bad times, and the scary times. My family and I wanted to film a very real series, so this truly comes from the heart,” she said in a video. When asked to describe the upcoming reality series in three words, Kattan said: “Real, honest, and crazy.”

The entrepreneur hopes the show will inspire viewers to “chase their dreams”, adding: “We’re that brand that shows women that they can have it all, and we are proving every single day that nothing is impossible. Anything is possible with hard work, focus, and a positive attitude.”

Going head-to-head with the platform’s highest-rated reality show, Ball in the Family, a web television series that follows LaVar Ball and his three basketball player sons, Huda Boss adds valuable real estate to Kattan’s growing beauty empire. The first instalment of the 10-episode series will provide an inside look at how a global beauty empire is powered. The first episode will launch on June 12 on Facebook Watch, with subsequent episodes to be released every Tuesday. Kattan will also answer fans’ questions via Q&As on Facebook Live, where she will also be sharing her beauty tips and hacks. We will definitely be tuning in.
