Known for her leading roles in the likes of Breakfast at Tiffany’s, My Fair Lady and Sabrina, Audrey Hepburn was a true Hollywood legend. It wasn’t just her acting skills that gained her global recognition, she was also an icon in the world of beauty too. With big doe-like eyes and rosy lips, one of her most striking features was her bold eyebrows. In honor of what would have been her 91st birthday today, Dubai based brow guru and the founder of Brows by Patsy, Patsy Kerr shares her top tips for achieving brows like Hepburn.
Patsy Kerr’s Tips For Brows Like Hepburn
. Stop plucking and let the hair grow out. Hepburn’s brows are quite thick for the first half of the brow with the tail tapering off at the end. This allows you or your therapist to reshape them properly.
. Supplements that encourage and help hair growth are vitamin B complex, vitamin D, and of course biotin and keratin. However, these help hair as a whole and aren’t focused on the eyebrows, meaning you might have hair growing in places you don’t want it to.
. There are serums that are created specifically for the eyebrows. Revitalsh is very popular, however, it does work for some people better than others. You need to use it for a month to see results.
. Your fridge might also hold some hair growing secrets. Add avocados and eggs to your diet, and some people have seen great hair growing results by using onion juice on their brows. It contains sulfur, selenium, minerals, B vitamins, and C vitamins which can speed up growth. Coconut oil and castor oil are also great for moisturizing
. Once your brow has been shaped if you have any gaps microblading can help fill it in and define the shape. Because Hepburn had quite a thick brow micropigmentation might be a better option as you get a heavier result, which you cant really achieve with microblading.
Celebrities today still look to the Hepburn brow for inspiration, even if they style it a little thinner, longer or wilder. Here are some of our favorites.
