As an in-demand makeup artist, Hessa Alajaji knows her way around a makeup brush. Vogue Arabia readers would have seen her work across editorial shoots, most notably working on this year’s Saudi Arabia-dedicated issue of the magazine. The Sephora Middle East ambassador has now expanded her reach, with the launch of her new makeup brush brand, HAN Makeup. Named for the creative’s initials, HAN is Alajaji’s passion project, offering a collection of 10 makeup brushes. After spotting a gap in the market for high quality makeup brushes at affordable prices in 2017, the Saudi set about studying the market, testing products, and planning her launch.

“We aim to meet the daily makeup demands of girls across the world,” Alajaji tells Vogue Arabia. “I’ve been working on developing a brush set that meets all makeup demands for all girls – no less, and no more. I also aimed to develop it with the best quality for the most affordable price. My goal is to have a brand that covers all the products that anyone would need when doing their makeup.”

The Brush Set (SAR450) contains 10 brushes, to blend, contour, smooth, powder, and shape all angles of the face. Using her experience as an editorial makeup artist, Aljaji says that the collection will have you covered for a full spectrum of beauty looks. Next, she shares, HAN will expand into a larger line of products, also targeted to the everyday woman and her beauty needs.
