The latest beauty launch from Hermès is chic enough to convince even the most fervent Gelish fan to give up their gel formulas. New this week, Les Mains Hermès nail and hand care is the brand’s stylish addition to its beauty collection.

The third chapter for the French house, following the earlier launches for lips and cheeks, Les Mains Hermès includes a curated range of Rouge H Nail Enamels, plus a practical yet pretty group of hand and nail care products.
Proving a dedication to head to toe, the 24 shades in Les Mains Hermès are inspired by the hues of Hermès enamels used across its jewellery collections. The nail shades can also be matched to colors from the earlier lipstick launches.

Made in France, the polish formulas include 71 percent ingredients from natural origins. Poured in ‘objects of desire’ – the lacquer bottles designed by Pierre Hardy, Hermès’ creative director for Hermès shoes and jewelry – each is topped with an eye-catching white and gold lid, and priced at AED199.

The collection also marks Hermès’ first foray into skincare, with a rich hand cream joining the nail polish. The nail care range includes a nourishing oil for use on nails and cuticles, a duo of protective top and base coats, and a sleeve of nail files in Hermès’ iconic orange hue.

“This new collection builds on the natural and sophisticated nature of the first gesture, Rouge Hermès,” shares Hardy. “While makeup can be fun, whimsical or dramatic, Hermès care is designed like an intimate and pure essential object. We move from center stage to the wings, with objects that are not on display, but that are kept literally to hand. The tube of cream is very pure, and quite remarkable in its functionality. Reduced to a cylinder, its white cap makes a connection with the initial landscape of forms, but in an understated way. There is no camouflage, no pretence, no ambiguity. Used to its full, and with the greatest respect, the material — left bare — embodies the high standards of luxury in simplicity.”
