Forget over the top marketing and founders who focus more on novelty than quality when it comes to fragrance. Pioneering old French perfume traditions, Henry Jacques brings the romance back to the industry. Opening its first boutique in The Dubai Mall, fragrance lovers can discover Haute Parfumerie at its finest. Founded in 1957 by Henry Cremona, the brand originally created bespoke scents for its private clientele. Never compromising on quality or craftsmanship, it has only recently opened to the public. With a presence in Harrod’s London, there are currently only two standalone boutiques in the world, the other in Singapore, each embodying the vision of the brand.

Designed by famed architect Christophe Tollemer, who is also the brands Artistic Director, the Dubai space was inspired by an 18th-century French castle. The moment you enter you notice the attention to detail. Reflecting the components of the perfume bottles and the juice which is encapsulated inside them, it is elegant yet welcoming. Two perfume organs sit either side of the main space showcasing the brand’s entire essence collection – the first of its kind. Housed behind glass the most precious collections await, with some hidden behind wooden panels offering an astonishing moment when the glass flacons dotted with precious stones are revealed.

For the perfume connoisseur, a private room awaits, where one of the knowledgeable staff takes you on a journey to discover up to fifty scents of the Henry Jacques signature ‘Classiques’ collection. Appreciating the brilliance behind these works of art, the experience allows even the most educated of noses an olfactory journey. Based in the south of France, the Henry Jacques laboratory has created juices with some 250 different components using the finest natural essences. Offering a unique experience, the boutique allows the Henry Jacques legacy to live on.
