What We’d Love to See in Harry Styles’s New Beauty Line

Celebrity beauty brand? Harry Styles? Surely not. But in news which will surely delight most, the singer and actor has set the wheels in motion, having taken out a trademark for a company entitled “PLEASED AS HOLDINGS LIMITED”. Styles listed the nature of the business as “wholesale of perfume and cosmetics” and his assistant, Emma Spring, as co-director of the company.

Of course, there are no details as of yet about the new line, but it is highly likely it will be unisex. “When you take away, ‘There’s clothes for men and there’s clothes for women,’ once you remove any barriers, obviously you open up the arena in which you can play,” Styles previously told Vogue. Here, our thoughts on what we’d like to see from his new venture.

A sultry fragrance

Styles knows how to smell good – one of his go-to scents is Tom Ford’s Tobacco Vanille, a sexy smoky scent which has notes of tobacco leaf, vanilla, tonka bean and wood. He is also the face of Gucci’s Memoire fragrance, which smells of chamomile, jasmine, musk and sandalwood. Both, like Styles, leave an impression. More of that, please.

Nail polish galore

Styles has long been known for his playful nails – he sees manicurist Jenny Longworth for all manner of designs, from smiley faces to the skittle nail trend. We hope for bright colors in longwear formulations.

Simple skincare

It goes without saying that Styles has clear, healthy skin – it was previously revealed that he had a penchant for Sunday Riley’s U.F.O. Oil to help treat breakouts. In his own range, we’d also love to see a cleanser, hydrating serum, and moisturizer. Basics, covered.

The eyeshadow palette to end all others

Given that Styles is more than au fait with wearing color, including that green feather boa the internet went wild for, it feels right that he might also create an unbeatable eyeshadow palette, with every hue under the sun. Eye looks on tap.

Hair pomade

Few in this world have such great hair and while he has previously said to have sworn by Ouai’s Hair Pomade, we’ll be expecting some shine, hold and texture products from the line to keep our own hair looking as good.

The ultimate candle

What’s a beauty line without a candle? Styles acknowledged his love of scented candles in a Radio 1 interview a few years ago and it was rumored his favorite was Diptyque’s Cannelle, a woody cinnamon scent with a spicy kick. As a man who often references the ’70s in his style, we can only presume there is more where that came from.
