Humidity is the bane of many a woman’s existence in our region, but Prada’s Resort 2018 show offered a chic solution for the next heat wave, in the form of wispy pigtail braids sure to withstand any weather condition. For her first Resort showcase, Miuccia Prada sent models down the runway sporting two tightly woven plaits left to hang down their backs or over their shoulders, some which were accessorized with feather-embellished headbands. One of the simplest hairstyles to create (and it works with every hair texture), all that’s needed to create the look is a helping of shine spray down the lengths and a couple of elastic bands to secure the style. A spritz of lightweight hair spray ensures the hairstyle stays in place before you unravel it the next day to reveal effortless waves that benefit from the rising humidity index.
Backstage, makeup artist Pat McGrath anchored the clean, dewy complexions with a swipe of neatly applied matte crimson lipstick. A few coats of mascara and clean, brushed-out brows completed the look, which will translate beautifully for hot summer nights.
