As with so many trends, it started at Marc Jacobs. Josh Wood dyed 37 models’ hair a range of pastel hues, but the one that went most viral was the peachy candyfloss shade sported by model Mariana Zaragoza, dyed by Wood to perfectly match the oversized coat she wore down the runway. For London Fashion Week‘s Matty Bovan show, Zaragoza, along with the likes of Georgia May Jagger and the newly buzz-cut Dree Hemingway, had their hair dyed boldest bubblegum – again by Wood. And at Ashley Williams, the troll-inspired hairstyles lent themselves perfectly to Pepto Bismol hues, with Alex Brownsell of Bleach spraying Jagger’s hair a chalky punk pink that perfectly offset the heavy eyeliner applied by Thomas de Kluyver backstage. Even Snapchat has added a new pink-hair filter. If you’ve ever considered dying your hair pink, it seems now is the time. See the Spring 2019 pink-hair moodboard above.
