It’s that time of year when things go bump in the night. This time around it might be a little different as glow in the dark henna is set to brighten up those fall nights. Created by Pavan Dhanjal the designs are bright, intricate and will ensure you stand out from the crowd, even when the lights are turned off. Arriving in neon orange, pink and green the possibilities for designs and patterns are endless. Dhanjal answers our questions.
What is glow in the dark henna?
This is a special formula we have created that is safe for the skin and is applied with a henna cone. It lasts on the skin for 24 hours, can wash off easily, and has been launched for Halloween, but is perfect for parties and special events.
How does it work?
We apply the henna on the skin, and it shows as normal colors. With a black UV light or just the dark, the colors pop and you have the amazing result you see in the images.
What designs have you been creating with glow in the dark henna?
We have been adventurous and created designs on the face, hands, shoulders, and neck! The face is a popular one clients come to the Henna Bar in Selfridges London for. The masquerades look is one we have been very inventive with.
How long do they last?
They last on the skin for 24 hours but can wash off with water earlier if you wish.
