Over the past few days, Givenchy has been teasing the reveal of their new face. A long thick ponytail, svelte frame, and almond-shaped talons? It could only be one person. Grammy award-winning perfumer, songwriter, and singer Ariana Grande. In a series of posts on the houses Instagram page they teased the 26-year-olds arrival with black and white images and videos. Featuring Grande playing with her signature locks, for diehard fans it was an instant giveaway. “She naturally embodies the spirit of the Givenchy woman with impertinence, generosity and a lightning wit — all cloaked in a touch of mystery,” said a statement from the house.
The full campaign set to be released in July. Of her appointment, Grande said, “I am so proud to be the new face of Givenchy. It is a House I have forever admired and to now be part of that family is such an honor. I love this clothing and the confidence and joy it brings to the people wearing it. Not only is the clothing timeless and beautiful but I’m proud to work with a brand that makes people feel celebrated for who they are, and unapologetic about whatever they want to be.”
