When it comes to creating a cover there’s a lot that goes on behind the scenes. There’s photography, then wardrobe, and floating between being right at the back of the room and dashing onset is the glam squad. Working their magic for our March Issue’s cover stars, they reveal their top beauty tips and the cult formulas.

Geoffrey Ernoult on Assala’s Makeup

When it came to the beauty look for Syrian singer Assala Nasri, makeup artist Geoffrey Ernoult was inspired by the colors of Morocco. The perfect palette arrived as Dior’s Backstage Eye Palette in Amber Neutrals. Working with its beige, brown and gold tones he created a warm eye. Looking to products with staying power Ernoult looked to MAC’s iconic Studio Fix Powder and waterproof eyeliner, also from Dior.

Sadek Lardjane on Assala’s Hair

When it comes to Nasri she has been spotted in every style of hair. From down to updos she is most beautiful when embracing her natural locks. Hairstylist Sadek Lardjane worked with cult formulas from Kerastase and L’oreal to bring out its beautiful texture and perfect it from root to end.

Jo Frost on Yousra’s Makeup

Having starred in over 80 movies, the queen of Middle Eastern cinema, Yousra knows a thing or two about being under bright lights. With the help of her glam squads she never fails to look flawless with a permeable flush of bronzed skin and a soft smoky eye. Makeup artist Jo Frost aimed to enhance her signature beauty look with luxurious formulas from Tom Ford and Sisley.
