Couture Week calls for some serious creations – not only when it comes to the clothes and accessories, but for beauty too. The Georges Hobeika Fall 2018 show proved this more so than ever. Walking the runway in some ethereal creations, the models showcased a makeup look inspired by Swan Lake. Starting with pristine skin that offered a luminous tan, the real statement was a bold eye. Emulating the eyes of a swan, head makeup artist Christelle Coquet worked a dark blue eyeshadow across the lid. Following the curve with a brush, she then swept black eyeliner out towards the temple in a thick line. Just before the hair, the liner was broken up for a feathered effect. To finish the eye, black liner was also used along the lower lash line.

Taking inspiration from the shimmering surface of the lake in the classic ballet, glitter was used throughout. Swept across the face like highlighter, it made the models skin glow. For the rest of the face, a nude lip and groomed brows allowed the eye to really do the talking. Nails also followed suit, in a soft pink shade reminiscent of a ballet shoe.
