A new lipstick finish has landed just in time for summer, with makeup artist and founder Charlotte Tilbury teaming up with model Bella Hadid for the cheeky reveal. Palestinian-American supermodel Hadid stars in a teasing campaign video for the launch of Charlotte Tilbury’s new Airbrush Flawless Lip Blur, her first since being announced as a beauty muse for the brand. Wearing the shade Ruby Blur in the campaign, Hadid shows a playful side to the camera as she toys between the lipstick’s bold and blurred finishes. “I’ve been a fan of Charlotte’s airbrush complexion products for some time, and now I can get that same matte, smoothing, airbrushed finish for my lips too,” Hadid shares with Vogue Arabia. “I love a matte look lip, but what’s so fun about Charlotte’s Airbrush Lip Blur shades is that you can wear them bold or blurred – so depending on my mood or what I’m doing that day, I can either tap on the color with my fingers right up to the lipline for a blurred look or swipe it on with the applicator for a bold look. What I love about lipstick is that it can instantly make you feel more confident, or more sexy – or more of whatever it is you want to express that day. I’m obsessed because every color I try on makes me feel like a different version of myself. ”

Available from June 14th in eight different shades, the Airbrush Flawless Lip Blur range covers nudes to pinks and reds, plus new additions to the brand’s Pillow Talk and Walk of No Shame pillars. Infused with hyaluronic acid, Airbrush Flawless Lip Blur liquid lipstick boasts up to 24 hours of hydration with a long-wear finish. The formula can be applied to deliver very different finishes, empathizes Tilbury. “You can apply it as you want – you can wear it blurred, you can build it and wear it bold,” adds Tilbury. “You can bring it over your lip line in a very cool, modern matte way, and overdraw the lip line in that super flattering statement lip look. There’s the option for that bold red carpet lip, or the soft stain look. But it doesn’t dehydrate your lips, or sit in the lip lines, as it has the hyaluronic acid. The pigment layers on so incredibly and it just gives you this incredible lip with a silky, cushioning, velvet matte finish.” An addition to the Charlotte Tilbury Airbrush Flawless range – best known for its Tik Tok viral blurring powder which Tilbury uses for A-list clients including Salma Hayek, Kate Moss, and Hadid – the new launch is the first lip product within the collection.

Hadid says she found it inspiring to work with the beauty industry icon. “I have always known Charlotte’s incredible energy and her gorgeous work so it’s an honor to be creating makeup magic together. She is such a light in how she connects with people and how she invites collaboration, it’s such a special experience to be sharing ideas and working so closely and creatively with her,” the model shares. “We have that same energy when we are on set together, so much joy – and always lots of music and dancing.” “Bella was incredible on set, this was her first new product campaign with us,” adds Tilbury. Already a fan of the Airbrush Flawless Filter Foundation, Tilbury says Hadid was the perfect choice for the campaign. “On so many levels it was the perfect brand partnership. I think she’s super inspiring, she’s very bright, and has great style. We come from a similar world where we both love beauty and love skincare, and I love her family and how family-orientated she is. What Bella stands for is empowerment and confidence, and it’s the same for me.”

When it comes to her personal philosophy on beauty, Hadid says her interpretation has changed over the years. “I don’t think there is one definition of beauty, that’s why I love partnering with Charlotte. She really believes in the power of beauty to unlock confidence for people and has always been on a mission to make beauty easy and accessible to people everywhere,” she says. “When I was younger and starting to explore with beauty and makeup, I would use products more so to create a look or different persona. Now I see it as more of a tool to enhance or express how I’m feeling.”
