Niche fragrance house, Ex Nihilo, has launched its first standalone boutique in the Middle East, opening its doors in The Dubai Mall. Taking inspiration from the brand’s original Rue Saint Honoré location, the Parisian influence combines with Arabic touches. In-store, visitors can now create their own take on an Ex Nihilo fragrance, using the brand’s own Osmologue customization service – a replica of the original Osmologue in Ex Nihilo’s Paris boutique.

Sitting in a private consultation, guests will be asked to complete an intuitive questionnaire to best determine their preferences, as they are led through Ex Nihilo’s takes on ingredients including iris pallida, orange blossom, and May rose, and how they can be added to the house’s mainstay scents. Once chosen, the new fragrance is made on the spot, weighted and blended to an exacting formula within the Osmologue. The perfume is presented with a certificate of authenticity, and sealed with the customer’s choice of stopper.

To mark the occasion of the Dubai launch, Ex Nihilo has launched a limited edition of its best-selling Gold Immortals fragrance. Created by nose  Jordi Fernández as a “dreamlike paradise”, Gold Immortals Edition Amber is an extra rich version of the floriental fragrance. The composition blends notes of amber into the existing mix of pear, bergamot, peony, tonka bean, and musk for added depth. Inspired by the modern meets Arabic design of the new Middle Eastern flagship, the bottle’s graphic design flaunts a golden orb, encircled in red. Exclusive to clients at The Dubai Mall location, Gold Immortals Edition Amber is available now in a limited batch.
