Dubai Fitness Challenge will soon return to the city and residents can almost feel the adrenaline pumping through their veins already. Get ready for a month-long affair celebrating fitness and wellness, pumping you on to end the year on a high note with city-wide activities and events. Starting on October 28 and ending on November 26, 2023, the 7th edition of the event, like past iterations, challenges every resident to complete 30 minutes of exercise every day for 30 days.
First launched in 2017, the challenge is the vision of His Highness Sheikh Hamdan bin Mohammed bin Rashid Al Maktoum, Crown Prince of Dubai and Chairman of the Executive Council of Dubai, and hopes to inspire a more active and healthy Dubai. So far, this royal vision has managed to inspire 2.2 million people with a range of events across the city such as free workouts, tournaments, and wellness-centric entertainment ranging from running, cycling, and swimming to yoga, weightlifting, and even padel.

Some of the biggest events on this jam-packed schedule are Dubai Ride, Dubai’s biggest cycling event on 12 November, and Dubai Run, the world’s largest fun run on 26 November. For those who are more passionate about cycling, there is the all-new Mushrif Park Cycle Centre with bike trails while others might be looking forward to the popular DP World Kite Beach Fitness Village.
“Dubai is a city that recognizes the importance of physical, mental, and social well-being, and constantly strives to provide everyone opportunities for an active lifestyle,” says Sheikh Hamdan. “All it takes for you to succeed is an unyielding pledge to enjoy 30 minutes of activity for 30 days. I challenge each and every one of you to embrace your fitness journey and make a difference in your life. Together, let’s make the UAE the most active country in the world.”
