It’s safe to say that Dua Lipa is not only a consistent chart-topper in this new age of pop music but also in bold beauty trends only the courageous can pull off. Even though the British artist is among the millions continuing to self-isolate in hopes of flattening the coronavirus curve, Lipa is keeping her reign as an experimental style icon intact with a new hairstyle she debuted on Instagram yesterday. Joining a long list of celebrities riding the DIY hair color wave in efforts to entertain themselves during this lengthy yet essential at-home quarantine period, Lipa traded in her signature blonde locks and brunette roots for a vibrant tangerine that is giving off Wilma Flinstone à la mode vibes.
Sharing a brief video with her almost 44 million Instagram followers, Lipa showed off her fun new hairdo posing alongside longtime boyfriend and isolation buddy Anwar Hadid as they lounged together on the sofa in London.

Over the past few weeks, the platinum-selling musician has dusted off her (and our) boredom with a “quarantine diaries” series that depicts what many of us are experiencing in this newfound reality. From trying other funky hair colors and attempting virtual at-home workouts to upping her creative nail game almost daily, Lipa is no stranger to making self-care Sunday an everyday occurrence. Adding a bit of Middle Eastern culture to the mix, Lipa also watched Syrian filmmaker Waad al-Kateab’s Academy-Award nominated documentary For Sama during this time and cooked Palestinian Maeloubah from a recipe given by none other than former Vogue Man Arabia cover star Mohamed Hadid.
While Lipa took advantage of social distancing to take the quarantine makeover plunge, check out which other celebrities chose to embrace their natural hair instead to help you decide which look will be your next hair inspiration. Just a word of advice before you pick up the scissors or dye: Don’t forget about your work-from-home video calls.
