Charlotte Tilbury Just Got This Honor from Queen Elizabeth II

Charlotte Tilbury has received her MBE for services to the beauty and cosmetics industry, having been named in the Queen’s Birthday Honours List in June. Having worked as a make-up artist for over 20 years, Tilbury launched her eponymous brand in 2013 – for which she won the Best Influencer Brand award at this year’s Vogue Beauty Awards – and was named British Vogue contributing beauty editor in 2017 by editor-in-chief Edward Enninful.

“I’m so thrilled for Charlotte,” Enninful said. “Not only is she a brilliant makeup artist but also a pioneering businesswoman who is changing the landscape of the beauty industry as we know it.”

Tilbury has worked on over 100 Vogue covers and has seen her beauty brand expand globally with great success, now employing over 1,000 staff worldwide. She is also a global ambassador for Women for Women International.

“Today has been one of the most magical days of my life. I am so delighted and thrilled to receive this honor, especially from Her Majesty, the Queen, who has been an endless source of inspiration to me,” Tilbury said in a statement.

“To be recognized for my contribution to the beauty industry is a dream come true! I want to thank all of my supportive family, my wonderful friends, my dream team, and my inspirational industry peers who have supported me along the way. Thank you to everyone who has helped me realize my dream of sharing the confidence-boosting powers of makeup magic with the world.”
