For Chanel’s Resort 2018 show, a lineup of Grecian goddesses took to the runway at the Grand Palais sporting toga jersey dresses, golden armbands, and column-heeled gladiator sandals complemented by a cool flick of jet-black eyeliner.
The next-level cat-eye was created by celebrated makeup artist Tom Pecheux, who used Ligne Graphique de Chanel liquid eyeliner to outline models’ lower lash lines. The stroke of onyx liquid began at the inner corner of the eyes and extended way past the temples, creating a Cleopatra-esque effect. By constricting the liner to the bottom lashes, the look appeared fresh and edgy without pandering into total gothic territory. To draw further attention to the eyes, the skin was kept fresh and clean, save for a soft sweep of luminous bronzer across the cheeks. A swipe of coral Chanel Rouge Coco #468 lipstick completed the striking look. Consider your summer beauty routine sorted.
