Major hair transformations seem to be the new thing in Hollywood. Kristen Stewart kicked of March by shaving off all her hair and debuting a new platinum blonde buzz cut. The actor did it for convenience: she’s currently shooting her next movie, playing a mechanical engineer working on an underwater oil rig, constantly taking off and putting on a helmet. So she figured it would be a time-saver, plus she wouldn’t have to worry about hat hair.
Zoë Kravitz, who is constantly changing up her look, has also previously shaved part of her head. This past week, Kravitz decided to take the plunge and with the help of her hairstylist, Nikki Nelms, showed off her brand new pixie cut on Instagram.
Katy Perry was next to showcase her shaved hairdo. Having previously joked about it on the red carpet earlier this year, Perry surprised her fans when she uploaded a photo to Instagram with the caption “fifth element flow.”
Cara Delevingne is the latest to jump on the pixie bandwagon, but leave it to her to add a little extra flair to her look with pink pastel hues throughout her hair. Whether it is for a role in a movie, practicality, or simply the need for a change, these women sure know how to rock the “less is more” look.
