Now, we’re probably not the only ones wondering, what does her hair smell like? Well, according to Cardi B, the answer is nothing. Onions for shiny hair? Who knew.
Cardi B is flaunting inches upon inches of silky, straight hair once again. But make no mistake, this Rapunzel-esque style is not a wig installed by her hairstylist Tokyo Stylez; it’s Cardi’s own hair, and there’s a secret ingredient she’s been using to care for it.
On August 10, the Bronx-bred rapper posted a Tiktok video showing her massive mane of hair. She gives viewers a 360-degree view of her voluminous, waist-length, textured hair that looks like it might have been lightly blow-dried. After walking off camera, she returns for the final reveal with sleek, straightened hair that cascades past her hips.
In her caption, she revealed that she has been using a “secret vegetable water,” on her hair and asked fans to guess which vegetable. She offers one hint: she used it in a hair tutorial about six years ago. Despite our investigative journalist efforts, we couldn’t figure out the specific vegetable, but we have a few good guesses.
If you’re a proud member of the Bardi Gang, then you know she likes to make hair masks using ingredients from her kitchen cabinet and share the recipes with her fans. In the past, she has used castor, coconut, olive, and argan oils for her hair treatments, so we’re willing to bet one of those is an ingredient in this water. We’re putting our money on castor or olive oil.
There’s no way of knowing when or if she will reveal the formula for this mysterious vegetable water soon, but as long as she gives us more peeks at the hair under all that lace, we’ll wait.
