Burberry Beauty Teases a New Series Featuring Arab Model Lana Albeik

Burberry Beauty has just teased a series showcasing its Burberry Her collection. Set to run alongside the campaign which features British model Cara Delavigne, the series is dedicated to celebrating the many facets of the Burberry woman. The Dubai based model and storyteller Lana Albeik who originally hails from Palestine and Syria is one of the four women chosen. Known for her signature short curly black locks and piercing green gaze she appears in a close-up shot. Representing the Her London Dream fragrance the image features a caption saying, ‘But it could also take you to places you’ve never been’.

“Working on this campaign with Burberry Beauty has been a really fun experience,” Albeik says, adding, “We talked about what scents meant to memories and where they can take you.” For the series, Albeik is joined by British models Georgia Palmer and Joanna Halpin, and musician Suki Sou. A diverse lineup of women, the series is a wonderful example of how the beauty industry is pioneering inclusivity. “Being the Arab face in the campaign was an honor. It brings things to full circle for me, to represent people like me globally,” explains Albeik.

The coming months are going to continue being an exciting few for Burberry Beauty with the full release of the series arriving soon. The brand also announced in May that their new Global Beauty Director will be British makeup artist Isamaya Ffrench. Known for her daring creations she is championed for her facial art and decoration that challenges global beauty norms. Ffrench’s first campaign for Burberry Beauty will be released in autumn and no doubt will further cement her as a boundary-pushing makeup artist.
