If there’s one thing we know about Apple, it’s all about changing the way we stay healthy and connected – especially when it comes to the Apple Watch. In its third series, the high-tech timepiece is offering up even more game-changing technology with its cellular abilities. Available in the UAE for the first time, users alongside the power of watchOS 5 will have the capability to make calls, send texts, and stream music all without their iPhone. Ready for pre-orders now, the watch will be available on September 23 with Etisalat being the first operator in the region to offer the eSIM to customers for AED/SAR 25 a month.

Sharing the same number as your mobile, you won’t have to worry about memorizing new digits either. “We believe the addition of cellular will transform the way people use Apple Watch, providing a new sense of freedom since they can stay connected with or without their iPhone,” explains Jeff Williams, Apple’s chief operating officer. With a 70% faster dual-core processor, other features of the watch offer new health and fitness advancements. These include new intelligent coaching features, water resistance of up to 50 meters, and a new barometric altimeter for measuring relative elevation when, as an example, climbing stairs and outdoor workouts.

Arriving in two different models, you will be able to choose between GPS + Cellular or just GPS. There are also two case sizes on offer; the 38mm and 42mm. Elevating its style game, the watch also comes in a new gold aluminum, alongside silver or space-black stainless steel cases. As ever, there will also be a variety of new strap designs on offer to complement the new watch.

The Apple Watch Series 3 with cellular is available for pre-order for AED/SAR 1,679 for the 38mm model and AED/SAR 1,784 for the 42mm model
