Taking our tea game to the next level is Tania Lodi. Opening Tania’s Teahouse in the heart of Dubai, her café is not only a pink Instagram worthy haven but offers up infusions that have some serious health benefits to boot. She shares her top ingredients, blends and tea-rrific knowledge on why you should be indulging in at least three cups a day.

The Base

Black Tea: Helps with oral and dental health, heart conditions, digestion, and also reduces anxiety.

Green Tea and Matcha: Particularly good in providing us with ‘zenergy’. A sense of calm and energy. They can increase serotonin levels, decreases anxiety, calm your stomach and even increase concentration.

Herbal Tea: These teas include flowers, herbs, and plants that can aid in digestion, anxiety, weight loss, and many other health conditions.

White Tea: Derived from the same plant as green tea, Camellia Sinensis, white tea is harvested earlier meaning it is less processed so it retains more antioxidants.

The Blends 

Calendula Petals: Reduces inflammation meaning they are great for helping menstrual cramps and eases a sore throat (they also taste like cocoa).

Chamomile: Promotes sleep and helps insomnia. Can also help treat a cold.

Cardamom: An antioxidant it can also aid digestion.

Cinnamon: Loaded with antioxidants, it can help your body fight infection.

Ginger: Reduces inflammation, helps with digestion and boosts the immune system.

Jiaogulan: A special plant that aids in increasing resistance to environmental stress, improves heart function, improves memory and can prevent hair loss.

Lavender: Helps with insomnia, depression, restlessness, and anxiety.

Lemongrass: Good for digestion, full of antioxidants, boosts red blood cell levels and relieves bloating.

Passion Flower: Can help to cure anxiety and depression. Also used to battle insomnia.
