The Best Beauty Looks From the 2018 Met Gala

On Monday night, a host of A-listers descended upon the staircase of the Metropolitan Museum of Art in New York City to celebrate the annual Costume Institute fundraiser, and it’s new exhibition, “Heavenly Bodies: Fashion and the Catholic Imagination.” And in line with this year’s theme, models, actors, and singers opted for beauty looks that were nothing short of angelic. Lily Collins channeled Our Lady of Sorrows by way of a crowning headpiece, bejeweled eyelids, and a single red teardrop affixed neatly below her left eye. Also seeking inspiration from Catholicism’s most renowned figures was Zendaya, who looked like a modern day Joan of Arc in a custom Versace chainmail dress, which she elevated with a bold red hair transformation. Meanwhile, Selena Gomez looked like a goddess with her glittering, 24K eyelids, and bronzed out limbs, which stood out flawlessly against her cream-colored Coach gown. Jourdan Dunn’s embellished dreadlocks, Amal Clooney‘s crimson lip, Bella Hadid’s braided updo, and Kim Kardashian West’s smokey lids come to mind as some of the evening’s best hair and makeup; While Jasmine Sanders‘ rose and pearl-strewn, Rapunzel plait was utterly divine.

From Gigi Hadid to Zoë Kravitz, ahead, our favorite hair and makeup looks from the 2018 Met Gala red carpet.
