Couture Runway Beauty Trends That Work in Real-Life
Shimmery, soft golden eyeshadow stood out against strong eyeliner on the inner lids of models at Elie Saab. Soft golden blush topped off the fresh beauty approach.
Bold mascara, eyeliner, and contoured cheeks lifted the glamour factor at Fendi with pom pom hair accessories completing key looks.
Acute hair partings – centrally and in sharp shapes – punctuated the couture collection at Jean Paul Gaultier for Fall 2017. The look was made complete with some models sporting golden teardrops.
Heavily laden hair grips and graphic lipstick locked down the futureproof haute look at Margiela.
Tom Pecheux created a kaleidoscope of color on models' eyelids to accentuate the intricate patterns of the collection.
Vauthier's beauty look went for Studio 54 glamour with smoky eyes blended into a cat-eye shape, with bronzed cheekbones completing the look.
Models at Ralph & Russo, including Arizona Muse, Zhenya Katava, and Bollywood sensation Sonam Kapoor, sported precision winged eyeliner across their upper lids that flicked upwards towards their temples. A swipe of glossy baby pink lipstick completed the look.
Makeup artist Peter Philips intricately filled in models' brows using a brown eyebrow pencil, before brushing them upwards. The bold arches anchored a clean, makeup-free complexion.
Dewy skin, minimal eye makeup and a swipe of candy apple red lipstick were all that was needed to get models runway-ready at Giambattista Valli.
Models at Rodarte marched down the runway wearing fresh bouquets of tiny baby’s-breath flowers pinned into tousled lengths by way of barrettes, wreaths, and satin ribbons in pink, black, and white.
For his debut collection, Peter Dundas sent out models – including Sara Sampaio, Stella Maxwell, and Yasmin Wijnaldum – sporting romantic, center-parted braids secured with a black grosgrain ribbon that fell way below their waists.
Kendall Jenner, Bella Hadid, and more of-the-moment models wore swivels of fire-engine red lipstick paired with glowing complexions, barely there eye makeup, and fuzzy topknots.
At Proenza Schouler, a straight, single line was drawn through models’ brows in taupe for blondes and dark brown for brunettes. Sleek, raked-back hair completed the power look.
At Atelier Versace, models’ lips were painted a matte bordeaux color that provided a striking counterpart to the barely there brows and alabaster complexions.
