The Middle East’s A-listers will walk the red carpet at Dubai’s Jumeriah Mina A’Salam for an evening of stunning fashion and celebration. Inspired by the Golden Age of Arab entertainment, Vogue Arabia’s iconic annual event applauds our most iconic divas from Warda and Sabah, to Sherihan and Yousra. The glittering night will pay tribute to three groundbreaking women in particular – Nabila Ebeed, Latifa, and Georgina Rizk. Known for their talent, dedication, and determination, as well as their signature style and enduring beauty, the trio of stars continue to inspire our own makeup looks. Nabila Ebeed’s dramatic pout
Known as Egypt’s first star, Nabila has never shied away from the limelight, something reflected in the actress’s love of a bold lipstick for the red carpet. Toying with vivid hues from rich burgundy and fiery scarlet to vibrant plums and purples, the starlet makes the most eye-catching lip hues part of her signature style. Follow her cues by choosing a creamy satin finish lipstick in your shade of choice. Apply directly from the bullet to the lips, then lightly blot with a tissue. Add a light dusting of finishing powder to the lips, and then brush away any excess. Finally, reapply your lipstick again, with the powder adding enough grip to extend a bold lip color’s staying power.
Latifa’s stunning eyes
Pairing long, fluttering lashes with smoky eyeshadow and a winged liner flick, Latifa’s feline eyes command attention on stage or off. The perfect evening eye look, the Tunisian singer’s signature style can be replicated for a glam night out. Use a charcoal pigment across the eyelid, building up along both the upper and lower lash lines and flaring the shadow out toward the outer third of the eye. Use a champagne shimmer to trace the inner corner of the eye. Draw a liquid liner along the upper lash line – don’t be afraid to use a thicker line here. Finish off with a full set of false lashes – look for dramatic length and volume to complete the Latifa look.
Georgina Rizk’s signature glow
As the first, and so far only, Lebanese, Arab, and Middle Eastern/West Asian Miss Universe to be crowned, Georgina knows a thing or two about beauty. The timeless beauty is known for her wholesome glow and health-flushed skin, in addition to her boundary-breaking achievements for Arab women. Capture her luminous complexion by playing with shadow and light. After applying foundation, use a bronzing shade two to three shades deeper than your natural skin tone and a dense powder brush to shape the contours beneath the cheekbones. Use a slightly shimmering highlighter across the high points of the face, the cheekbones, collarbone, and tip of the nose, to add a youthful light to the face. Finish with a dewy setting spray to fix into place.
