Telehealth has grown significantly in the past few months, with patients receiving care, advice, reminders, education, intervention, and monitoring through telecommunication technologies. Now across its Medcare, Aster Hospital and Aster Clinic facilities in the UAE, patients can speak to one of their many qualified doctors for all general ailments.

The process is simple with patients visiting the respective facilities’ websites to book an appointment. They can then ‘visit’ their chosen doctor remotely through a video call. From here the patient will be advised whether they need an in-person consultation for further testing or for the issuance of a prescription. For the latter, there is also an at-home delivery service available across the UAE.
