This Dubai Sanctuary Was Named the Best Spa in the Middle East

It’s official: The Armani/Spa has just been named as the best spa in the Middle East. At last week’s Haute Grandeur Global Awards held in Dubai’s Palazzo Versace, the five-star hotel took home the award for the Best Spa, in addition to Best Design Hotel and Best Lifestyle Hotel. It’s not the first time the luxury hotel has been recognized for its top-notch facilities. Earlier this year, The Armani/Spa also won the prize for World’s Best Hotel Spa, Dubai’s Best Hotel Spa, and Middle East’s Best Hotel Spa at the fourth annual World Luxury Spa Awards 2018.

So what is it about the sanctuary that makes it so great? Well for starters, its location. The Armani/Spa lives in the Burj Khalifa, the world’s tallest building, serving as an oasis of peace and tranquility in the heart of the bustling city. The menu offers a number of treatments to pick and choose from, including skin-boosting facials, soothing massages with Japanese acupressure techniques, and body wraps using the Armani/Spa products, which can be purchased from the reception and delivered straight to your room. Additionally, the 12,000-square-foot space boasts a clean, sleek interior, thermal rooms, a relaxation lounge, a fitness centre, sauna, and a pool. What more do you need?

Here, Vogue Arabia’s beauty editor Alexandra Venison picks three other spas every UAE resident or visitor should give a try.

Amara Spa at the Park Hyatt, Dubai
Located a stone’s throw away from the hustle and bustle of the Creek, Amara Spa is nestled among private courtyards. Featuring sumptuous furnishings, the vibe is Arabian, with attention to detail key. Offering a host of unique rituals, Amara’s signature massages look to energize and revive the mind, body, and soul. Anne Semonin facials are also on offer to give skin an unparalleled glow.

Sense Spa at the Rosewood Hotel, Abu Dhabi
An urban sanctuary, Sense Spa is a relaxing retreat in the middle of a city. Offering one of the most extensive lists of treatments in the region, the therapists on hand are masters in the art of healing. Working with products from Sodashi to Maison Caulieres and EviDenS de Beaute, whether you stay for a day or a week, you are taken on a journey that will leave you feeling rejuvenated.

The Oberoi Spa, Ajman
Hidden behind a single door, the spa at the Oberoi embraces the natural landscape that surrounds it. A labyrinth of corridors filled with natural light and foliage, leads the way to private treatment rooms. Featuring open-air showers and courtyards, the rituals on offer combine the best of Eastern and Western practices.
