When it comes to avant-garde hair and makeup, Furne One of Amato doesn’t disappoint. The Dubai-based designer closed Fashion Forward with models covered in glitter sporting saturated strands and gleaming faces dotted with pearls à la Givenchy. “The idea was to mix science with religion,” explains Furne One to Vogue Arabia, describing the ethereal beauty look as “Shepherd’s o a pilgrimage walking through the hot desert to see the presence of Mother Mary.” He says, “we hand-painted intricate patterns over the models’ clean complexions, and then applied a handful of pearls.” Using the M.A.C Cosmetics Mixing Medium, M.A.C’s Cosmetics Senior Makeup Artist, Vimi Joshi, strategically applied the face jewels on the cheeks, along the nose, forehead, and chin to construct the elaborate embellished shrouds. Consider this year’s last-minute Halloween mask solved.
