As one of the evening’s cohosts, Amal Clooney was among the first to hit the Met steps with her husband George Clooney in tow. Wearing a metallic, floral-printed corset dress and navy trousers by Richard Quinn, the Lebanese human right’s lawyer looked simply divine. But before she descended upon the evening’s red carpet, a number of preparations went into her head-turning beauty look. Trading in her signature bouncy blowout in favor of an unfussy ponytail, the human rights lawyer opted to save the drama for her makeup, courtesy of Charlotte Tilbury.

For her lit-from-within glow, Tilbury reached for the cult Hollywood Flawless Filter, which she applied liberally along Clooney’s cheekbones and high points of the face. A dusting of the not-yet-released Pretty Youth Glow Filter in Pretty Fresh on the apple’s of the cheeks added a youthful dose of color. Meanwhile, to create Clooney’s sultry eye makeup look, all that was needed was a transparent, sparkling pressed powder from the Bigger Brighter Eyes palette paired with several coats of the Legendary Lashes Volume 2 mascara on the top and bottom lashes. A swipe of fire-engine red lipstick completed the heaven-sent look.
