On April 25, Vogue Arabia teamed up with Allergan, the world-leading developer of medical aesthetic treatments such as the Juvederm fillers, on an insightful event breaking down all apprehensions surrounding aesthetic procedures.
At the JW Marriott Marquis Hotel in Dubai, the evening took off with a cocktail reception that brought together some of the beauty and fashion industry’s biggest entrepreneurs and influencers like Juhi Godambe, Sisi, Reham Khalifa, Ryle Tuvierra, Nouran Khalifa, Nehal Khalifa, StreetStyleDubai’s Amira Ashoor, as well as Palestinian-Algerian actor Nesreen Tafesh.
Guests listened intently as the event’s keynote speaker, world-famous plastic surgeon Dr. Mauricio de Maio, took the stage to start the discussion on facial aesthetics and explain the correct uses of dermal fillers like correcting lines, restoring volume, or lifting the face. He shed light on the fact that biodegradable fillers such as Juvéderm’s are the key to safe treatment. Since hyaluronic acid, which is a naturally occurring sugar present in the skin, has replaced collagen as a component, fillers have never been safer. The experts tackled a variety of questions about facial aesthetics, stressing the importance of choosing the right practitioner by checking the credentials of the clinic and the injector. In order to free the audience of doubts, they were walked through the consultation process.
