It’s the beauty staple that every woman searches for – and Ahood Alenezi may just have perfected it. The Kuwaiti blogger has designed a matte lipstick as part of a collaboration with MAC, dreaming up a warm brown-beige nude designed to look like natural lips, but better.
The lifestyle star, who boasts 1.3 million followers on Instagram, was inspired by her favorite MAC lip pencil in the shade Spice when devising her lipstick. “I have always been drawn to nude shades,” Alenezi tells Vogue.me of MACxAHOOD. “People who follow me would know that I always used Spice as my lip base mixed with another nude shade, and I am so lucky I finally got to create that perfect mix.”
The blogger didn’t only come up with the limited-edition lipstick; she also helped design the glitter-speckled printed packaging. “I wanted the box to be more playful with a holographic finish, to express the beauty of the shade,” she says. However, if you want to get your hands on the shade, which is priced at AED 95, you have to be quick. Alenezi’s collaboration will hit shelves at select MAC location in the Middle East, as well as maccosmetics.ae andmaccosmetics.com/sa, on November 15, and will be available for one week only.
The fashion and beauty aficionado, who also cites the makeup brand’s Studio Fix Fluid Foundation and Studio Fix Powder as her makeup bag must-haves, says the MAC was among some of the first products she fell in love with when she began using makeup. “Having the chance to work with such a global brand is a dream come true.”
